Times change
As of yesterday, Sunday 28 March 2010, Kemerovo is on Novosibirsk time (NOVT in winter and NOVST in summer) or Omsk time (OMST/OMSTT) instead of Krasnoyarsk time (KRAT/KRAST). This means that instead of the former 6-hour time difference between Kemerovo and Central Europe, the difference is now only 5 hours! As you may have noticed, the time displayed in the weather gizmo on the right is no longer correct.
An article explaining the how and why of the change is available here.
By the way, the site hosting the article, timeanddate.com, is a great resource for everything you ever or never wanted to know about time and time zones!
