I've bought a car
I've finally bought a jeep. Here are the specs:
Mitsubishi Pajero 2.5 TurboDiesel
build 1991, 3-door model
full 4WD
Thank God there was someone with us when we bought it, because there's quite a lot of paperwork involved. Not that it's harder than in Belgium. You just have to know where to queue and where to go to pay.
Also, we had arranged to meet at 9am, but the guy selling the car didn't turn up until 10:15. He made some lame excuse about not being able to leave the office, but it was quite obvious that he had just gotten out of bed after a night on the town.
No need to say we were more than a little wound up by the time he arrived.
But, all in all, everything turned out fine and I now have a car and insurance.
Update:
Diesel is the cheapest fuel here. For the moment, it costs 10 roubles per litre.
My Mitsi has a 60 litre fuel tank. It lasts about 500 on a full tank.
