A nice weekend

Last Friday I received my first wages. I had been looking forward to it for some time and it felt quite good, especially since they paid me in cash :-) (customary in Russia).
On Saturday I wanted to go ahead and buy the Suzuki I mentioned earlier. I had seen it at the car sale last week, but unfortunately it was already sold this Saturday. So, I'll have to wait for a new opportunity. I'm already looking for a place to park my car. There's one right across the street, but it's quite expensive: 50 rub (€1,5) a day. A little farther from here (about 10 mins on foot) are a couple cheaper ones. They are 35 to 40 roubles.
On Saturday evening we went to Nadia's (one of Olya's closest friends) birthday party. There were a few other couples and we had a very good time. Afterwards we went to some sort of concert on the central square. There was an all-Russian student contest going on. Students from all over the country brought their songs and acts... quite interesting.
On Sunday the weather was as beautiful as on Saturday, so I decided to go skating. There are a few places where you can skate in Kemerovo, but nothing really interesting. Anyway, afterwards Sergey drove us to a lake and to the river Tom, where we did some sunbathing. On the way back, we had some great shashlikas at a road-side restaurant with an excellent view of the river and the city.
That's how we spent the weekend. Nothing earth-shattering, but still... Just so you know how we spend our time.
