Easter in Andreevka

We spent the weekend in Andreevka, a mining village about 30 minutes by bus from the center of Kemerovo. It's the home town of one of Dima's and Olga's mutual friends.
We went there to celebrate Easter, which included a lot of eating, drinking and dancing, a banya session, egg fights (a contest in which two contestants strike their painted easter eggs together to find out whose is stronger)... The highlight was a bonfire lit at midnight with car tyres (don't ask me why). Goes without saying the celebrations lasted well into the morning.
The next day we got ready to leave for home, but instead we decided to go for a walk through the village and the neighboring taiga forest. The forest was beautiful, especially since it was nice and sunny outside. What with all of us sinking up to our knees in snow several times, we had a great time and couldn't stop laughing at times.
