No more Benedict

On Feb 7 I got a preliminary contract from Benedict school. It contained a lot of mumbo-jumbo, but the vital parts - those about my wages and the duration - were missing.

So, Olga - don't know what I'd do without her - consulted a few lawyers, all of whom said that the contract was crap and that it would be unwise to get involved with such an obviously unprofessional company.
Anyway, they (the lawyers) sent me a document containing a number of comments concerning certain points in the contract.
Since the people at Benedict school had said that they welcomed comments and proposals, I sent them this document together with my wages and duration proposals.

To cut a long story short, after some writing to and fro, the Beneshit woman said that she would not change the contract and that, seeing I was coming to work for them, I would have to agree to all their conditions, or they would cancel the invitation.
I decided that I had taken enough of their lying, cheating, insinuations and covert insults, so today I wrote them a letter telling them to shove the invitation up their #@&es. (those were not my exact words :-))

So, from now on I'll be dealing with Highlight school, which is a similar school, though far more professional. I should have done it a long time ago, but I was afraid it would just overcomplicate things.
I am waiting for them to send me a contract as we speak and plan to send them my documents in the coming days (hopefully, without all the legalisation stamps and such). After that, it's back to waiting for them to apply for an invitation.
I'm pretty confident it will take far less time than it took Benedict, though, since this school has a very good reputation. "Two weeks in the least", they say. What comes next, we'll see.
How I regret not having dealt with them from the beginning, but - I may have mentioned this before - Benedict were the first to make me an offer. Pah!!

Seems a never-ending story, dunnit?
