This is just unbelievable
Yesterday I got a letter from Benedict school, saying that my invitation wouldn't be ready until the 1st of March. It goes without saying that I was very shocked by this news. That would mean that I wouldn't get to Kemerovo until April.
Today Olga contacted an influential lady (a grateful patient of her uncle's, who's a surgeon) who found out that Benedict did not apply for the first time on December 10, like they said, but on January 8!!!! Furthermore, it appears that they handed in all my documents to the passport office only TODAY!!!
This is just too crazy for words, don't you think?
All this time, these people have been jerking around and telling me all kinds of stories that weren't true! Even today I got a letter from them, saying that they were doing all they can and going back and forth every day. They even blamed the country and the system for being so slow, while in fact it's them who haven't lifted a goddamn finger!
Anyway, the influential lady said she'd look into it and take the matter into her own hands. In a day or two she will contact Olga again to report on the situation.
